Color Ring Around
The middle neutral colored image, which is located in the middle, doesn't seem as neutral colored as the one on the right of it which is a warmer color tone. The most noticeable color change is in the top left corner. Other images are more subtle color shifts.

Inspiration
The inspiration I found was on Flakphoto.com from the series called "what lies beneath the surface". Photo taken by Guy Sargent. The picture I find myself to take a lot more often tend to be landscape pictures. Which the photo I have chosen is this coast line with this amazing cliff and the way the light comes through that rock overhang makes this photo even more eye catching. The location of the photo connects to me and is inspiration to me because being in Oregon I go to the coast all the time. I want to make my coast/beach photos better. They need to be more interesting and less generic like Guy Sargent's photo. I took a look at Sargent's other pictures as well and they follow this beach landscape theme as well. All of which seem to have interesting rock formations on the beach. He seems to take his pictures with a longer shutter speed to give this ghostly motion to the waves in the ocean. Rather than using a fast shutter speed to freeze the beauty of the water, Sargent captures the beauty of the motion in the water in his photos. Which I think is a successful strategy that I wish to replicate in my work.
My photography example
This photo was taken in a series of photographs. The series theme is HDR ( high dynamic range ) which give that unique surreal glow look. I had this deep interest in HDR images so I had to take a series for myself. The inspiration was no one artist but different HDR images from all over that I have seen. To achieve this HDR look. I had to set my camera to bracketing mode set 3 F-stops apart. So that the image would be exposing for the blacks, whites and midtones. I set the camera shooting 3 shoots one after another and put it on a tripod. Next is to combined the images in photoshops HDR merging software. A blending layer was added in Photoshop to enhance this photo with the green and yellow colors which flow with the other color scheme of the picture. The series of photos was also apply with these blending mode overlays all with colors that enhanced that picture. This work was done by me for my final project in adv. digital imaging of my junior year at UO spring term 2011.
